My favorite color is blue. I have three siblings. My favorite food is chocolate (yes I consider chocolate to be food and not just candy). Panda bears are the most adorable animals ever. My best friend is my mom. I am a Christian. And… oh yeah!… world peace!
If it wasn’t obvious enough, this is my very first blog post. I am a complete novice and the only introduction I had to blogging were the thousands of “how to start your own blog” websites I visited. Despite my lack of blog-knowledge, I thought I’d give it a try. Why? Well, because I love to write. I guess you can say I discovered a liking for writing during my younger years (not like that was too long ago) and the like turned into love.
Through writing, I got to create worlds where anything was possible; worlds where there were no limitations if I could imagine it; worlds that I dreamt about as if they were real. Writing also became somewhat of a lifeline for me. I found that the easiest way for me to channel my anger, sadness, and depression, was to get a journal and write it all out. During these times, writing served me better than any advice could.
But I’m rambling now.
The real question here I guess is: why start a blog? Great question and the honest answer is that I decided that its time for me to take this imagination of mine and allow others to enter the worlds that I create. I remember reading once that blogging gives people the opportunity to share their creativity with the world. If that’s the case, then I want to join the blogging gang as soon as possible (and yes, this is real excitement)!
I want to create an open portal to everything I feel, see, believe, imagine, everything I could not say with words I want write…here…for you too see.
And I want to see your imagination too!
From what I see, the best part about blogging is not only sharing your creativity, but basking in the creativity of others. As I share what I feel, see, believe, and imagine, I hope you will do the same with me.
So in conclusion…
Roses are red.
Violets are blue.
I’m a new blogger.
Yippie di doo!
