Emotions

Such frivolous things emotions are.
Useless.
Destructive.
Unforgiving.
Unrelenting.
But we’re no better.
Selfish.
Deceitful.
Dishonest.
Conceited.
We try so hard to protect our emotions, but do we care for other’s?

Should my pain be ignored for the happiness of another?

Why not consider my happiness, but openly concern yourself with theirs?

Do you not care for me?

Does your love not reach me?

IF MY HEART BROKE, WOULD YOU CARE ENOUGH TO FIX IT?

How…how do I get your attention?
….

But is that other person not dying?

Are they not holding onto to every single last breath they have?

Are they not fighting Death as it draws nearer and nearer to collect their soul?

Has your pain superseded theirs?

Has their sorrow been determined insignificant with your lips?

Why?

Consider.                            Think.
Reflect.
See.                                     Listen.

Emotions…. we often times forget what’s important when we are only considering our own.

  1. The truth is a hard pill to swallow, but it can cure the diseased fallacies we ignore in day to day life. This was just what the doctor ordered, medicine to heal the wounds of the broken and the cries of the empty. Beautiful, dark, powerful, and potent only scratch the surface of the impact these words can hold. All the same, great writing can’t compare with mere flattery, it falls short against words to describe its purpose. Truly great writing speaks for itself, and I feel this piece can speak for those of us who know the heartache of empty compassion. Really amazing work, the sunset was a nice touch.
